My map work first appeared in print over twenty years ago (in 2003) and, since then, more and more designs have been reproduced and debated, in print and online, worldwide. Several works have captured people’s imagination, going viral and leading to invitations to speak internationally. Comprehensive lists of every web discussion and print appearance would be impossible, but these links give a good selection.
My design work corresponded perfectly a the golden age of internet publishing, attracting the attention of bloggers and journalists from Chicago to Berlin looking for visual content. Notable designs include my Paris Circles metro map and Chicago El map in the style of Frank Lloyd Wright.
I will always have a soft spot for the printed page, it will still be a
while before e-readers can display colour images that are large enough to show off maps in all their glory.
Media interviews (and recorded lectures) are in the Speaking section of my web pages. The link to this page opens in a new tab/window.
